Cleaning Tips during CORONA-VIRUS

          Covid-19! A term we have all became very familiar with recently. It has struck fear in hearts around the world, including my own. Every moment I am trying to break through the fear and listen to my Heavenly Father's voice. He is trying to tell me; "Child, I have not given you a spirit of fear. Replace that fear with faith!" Before I get into my tips for cleaning, I just wanted to say; Instead of focusing on our fears, we should instead focus on the truths of God's Word. His Word brings peace!

Okay, on to the tips! The latest information from the Centers Of Disease Control (CDC) states that the Coronavirus (Covid-19) can spread via person to person or from contact with contaminated surfaces. Now more then ever it is important to keep your homes clean. By doing so it can lesson the chance of you or someone in your household getting sick.

According to the CDC, the virus can remain viable for hours to days on surfaces made from a variety of materials. It is best to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. The EPA has a complete list of products that you can use against this virus.

Here is a list of the area's that may get frequently touched:

• Door knobs
• Light Switches
• Cabinet Handles
• Drawer Handles
• Toilets
• Faucets
• Sinks
• Microwave
• ​​Computer Keys and Mouse

• ​​Coffee Pot
• Fridge handle
• Tops of Chairs
  
• TV Remotes
• Keys
• Phones
• Exercise Equipment
• Game Controllers

What is the best way to clean these surfaces? In my opinion, clean the surface with soap and water first. This will remove dirt before disinfecting. Whichever product you decide to use, be sure to read the directions on the label. Many of these disinfectants require different contact times to be effective. In other words, the surface you are cleaning will need to stay wet for the amount of time stated on the bottle to work properly. Some up to 15 minutes.
